1. First woman ruler of Asia: Razia Sultana who ascended the throne of Delhi in 1236.

2. First Asian city to host the Olympic Games: Tokyo, Japan in 1964.

3. First Tour de France winner: Maurice Garin who won in 1903.

4. First woman to the Everest Summit: Junko Tabei of Japan who reached the summit on 23rd May 1984.

5. First city in India to have electricity: Bangalore in 1906.
